  • Variable speed hybrid technology enables up to 50% reduction in fuel consumption at part-loads & eliminates wet-stacking.

  • Integrated starter/generator allows the generator to start the engine on 28V batteries from the vehicle side. Reduced weight by removal of dedicated starter motor. 

  • HMI (Human Machine Interface): CANBus Display with all available sensor data, remote e-stop, power switch, and push-button start. Fuel consumption analysis.

  • Lower cost of ownership with less maintenance requirements: no valve adjustments, maintenance-free electric motor and electronics, no drive or accessory belts, variable oil change intervals (load based, 200-hour minimum with up to 500-hour maintenance interval).

  • Right to Repair means less maintenance items & longer maintenance intervals. Offering full right to repair to government.

  • Unlike traditional gensets that burn fuel inefficiently at low or variable loads, BlueSky’s hybrid APUs maintain high fuel efficiency across the entire operating range — from light to full load — reducing fuel costs and resupply risks.

  • Maintain operational silence without shutting down. Integrated battery support enables silent watch operations, keeping mission-critical systems online without the noise or thermal signature of idling engines.

  • Designed for on-the-move (OTM) operations, these systems are lightweight and scalable. Mount them on tactical vehicles, trailers, or deployable kits — wherever reliable power is needed, without the bulk.

  • Peak shaving allows you to size your power generation system to your average load, no longer requiring you to carry a larger generator to support a short, peak load. Small enough to fit in the bed of a HMMWV or ISV means fewer convoys, less generator trailers, lower costs, and greater agility at the edge.

BlueSky Mobile Power is an American manufacturer of small diesel engines, axial flux electric motors, power generation systems, and small form factor APUs and generators for both the commercial and military sectors. Currently, BlueSky has an R&D facility located in Advance, NC, a manufacturing facility in Largo, FL, and a strategic manufacturing and development partnership with Trust Automation in San Luis Obispo, CA. 

 

BlueSky Mobile Power serves the following military customers:

  • Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS)

  • Army DEVCOM C5ISR

  • Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD)

  • 10th Mountain Division

  • 25th Infantry Division with participation in numerous exercises & currently deployed at the southern border
